Volunteer Program

Volunteer Program

Volunteers are part of the hospice team that offers supportive medical, emotional, spiritual and volunteer services to patients and families dealing with terminal illness.

You can make a difference to someone in need. Volunteers may select an area of involvement in direct patient contact or in other supporting positions.

Helping others through service

Hospice volunteers are concerned individuals of all ages who willingly give their time and talents to help hospice families in many ways. They come from all walks of life, bonded by the mutual desire to serve others in need.

Volunteers receive basic orientation of the hospice philosophy and the volunteer’s role as part of the Concerned Care Hospice Team. Volunteers may select an area of involvement in direct patient contact or in other supporting positions.

Working in the home

Working with the patient and family is one of the most personal ways a volunteer can become involved with the program. Visiting the home, the volunteer serves as a friend to provide support to the patient and family.

At Concerned Care there is a place for you as a hospice volunteer. The rewards of caring and sharing are beyond measure. Please call today to learn more about your place on the Concerned Care Hospice Team.
